ReplyDeleteIn the book Of Mice and Men after Lenny accidentally kills Curly’s wife and, seeing what he had done ran for the river. Curly after seeing his wife dead and still very angry about how Lenny broke his hand then sets off to find him and kill him it the most painful way readily possible of course George knowing where he would have gone beat him to Lenny and kills him in a much less painful way. Now what if someone else had intervened that someone else having greater power.
ReplyDelete“First my hand then my wife!” thought Curly angrily, “after he broke my hand I should have tried to get him sacked, even if it was something other than that broke my hand it would have stopped him from killing my wife and put out in the cold where people like him belong!” shocking even himself with the extent of his fury he went on “when I find him he’ll get what he deserves all right” but deep down he knew that Lenny could have long gotten away if he knew where to run, more over Curly didn’t know were to look. Up in the heavens above earth the goddess of revenge Nemesis looked down to earth and saw the spectacle unfolding she said “a vengeful wanderer has lost his way, so close yet so far.” She thought for a moment “why not one another find each other for it has been a long time since such an act of revenge has come to pass”. So she went down to earth disguise so to change Curly’s destiny to one that was far more violent. Curly was looking thought some bushes when he head a familiar voice which was his dead wife say, “Curly I feel your intent to exact revenge but it will be hard to do if you are not going in the right way. Where you should be heading is to the river a few miles off the road.” And then she disappeared, and somewhere Nemesis removed her disguise and chuckled, “this will be fun to watch.” From there not much detail is required let us say that Curly ends up having his revenge and Nemesis her pleasure.
Im going to do the last scene from Of Mice and Men, as George shoots lennie. Lennie after being shot, undergoes a journey through the earth and into the underworld were he meets a god and his beast that might be able to let him fulfill his dream of tending rabbits.
ReplyDeleteAs the shot roars down the valley, George quickly filled with adrenaline turns Lennie over into the pond and places two coins over his eyelids he whispers to "lennie heres your share, sorry its so late" his body begins to sinks. George fills with emotions, as he silently says farwell to his lost friend. Lennie's body slowly skinks to the bottomless pond, but suddenly a hole apears at the bottom of the pond sucking lennie twords it. Lennie swirls down the hole like water down a drain, the hole quickly seals swallowing only lennie down. He swirls and twists through the tunels, but some how through the vicious turns of the tunnel his coins remain on his eyelids. Suddenly the seemingly never ending slide gently drops him off into a river filled with other dead poeple. Some with coins others not, somehow lennies coins remain on his eyes. All of the suddon the river forks, and Lennie is mixed in with the rest of deceased people with coins on their eyes. Suddenly Lennie awakes in a line of people, Lennie heard the gingling of loose change, and felt his pocket. There he found two coins, they arent familier to lennie seeing as George normally carries his money. As lennie follows the line till he sees a gate, which said "Asphodel Fields" that was guarded by a beast with three heads, and what only known to be the beasts master, who looked almost god like compared to himself. The three headed dog begins to talk to Lennie and says Hello my name is Hades and this beast is Cerebrus the guardian of this world in which you've enterd. now sir may i have your coins so i can let you in? Lennie hands the god his coins, wondering what lays behind the massive gate. The gate opens and there lay a lush field, and a farm, that seem familiar to Lennie, but he cant name were he remembers it from. Until his aunt clara walks out the door of the small cabin and shouts "Lennie what are you doin over in that field, have you forgot allready about tending your rabbits." Lennie quickly ran twords the house and near the fenced in area were the rabbits were held. Aunt clara walks out of the house with a box. Lennie asks "what'cha got in da box?" she opened the box and there lay a small kit. Clara looked to Lennie and said "I haven't named him yet, do you have a name for the little fella? Lennie picked up the little rabbit and wisperd in its ear, "I think I'll call you George."
